Endodontic Dental Care

Endodontics is a dental specialty focused on diagnosing and treating problems within the tooth's interior, including the pulp, nerves, and surrounding tissues. The name itself means “inside the tooth,” derived from Greek. It involves complex procedures like root canal therapy, which involves removing infected or damaged tissue from inside the tooth.

In the past, teeth with infected nerves were often extracted. However, with today’s advanced techniques and technology, endodontists can save most of these natural teeth. By cleaning out the inner structures, sealing the area, and restoring the tooth—usually with a crown—patients can regain both the health and function of their smile.
